Founder
The Brand Partnership, Inc. is led by Judy Johnson. Judy has spent four decades helping companies define and protect their brands, and offering effective marketing and communications strategies to build market share, increase sales, build brand advocacy, attract and retain talent, manage complex issues, and achieve their business goals. Her career has spanned both agency leadership and corporate C-suite positions, where she has earned a reputation for smart business and marketing insights, brand strategy, counsel, and creative, results-focused campaign execution.
Judy leads ongoing and project-based client engagements in brand strategy, communications audits, marketing, public relations, reputation management, crisis/issues preparedness and management, ESG, research, digital and traditional media, content creation, staff architecture and training, and advisory services.
Before starting her own firm, Judy was Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at Caruso, where she built a world-class marketing function from the ground up, and led the company’s brand positioning, identity and name change, as well as designed a new brand architecture and audience segmentation for the company’s expanding business portfolio. She also overhauled its digital, creative, advertising, loyalty and email marketing efforts, and brought a research-led planning rigor and process.
Prior to Caruso, she was President of the Western U.S. for Golin, a global marketing firm under the Interpublic Group of companies, where she worked for nearly 20 years. Prior to that she spent 15 years at two other agencies and in-house.
Judy has led marketing and communications strategy and implementation for dozens of companies in almost every business sector, including consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, hospitality, retail, education, real estate development, digital media, startups, fashion, health care, fitness and wellness, consumer tech, beauty, entertainment, professional services, agriculture, tourism, financial services, and the automotive industries.
She and her teams have earned more than 150 industry awards. Judy is also a past recipient of the PRSA LA Professional of the Year Award.
